Industrial action from Wednesday 17 to Monday 22 December 2025.

Resident doctors working in hospitals who are members of the British Medical Association will take part in five days of industrial action from 7am on Wednesday 17 December until 7am Monday 22 December 2025. The strike will affect NHS services across County Durham and Darlington and patients should expect disruption and potential long waits during this period.
