Supporting #TeamCDDFT during the Covid-19 Pandemic

Supporting #TeamCDDFT during the Covid-19 Pandemic

Like hospitals across the country, we have been overwhelmed by the support, kind donations and appreciation we have received from our local communities. This means a lot to all of the NHS staff giving our colleagues a morale booster during these challenging times.

We've had so many donations - particularly food and, whilst we are so grateful for these kind offers, it is getting more difficult for us to accept perishable items.

How you can help?

A direct donation helps us to support our staff who are working around the clock to continue caring for our patients. It means we can buy what is needed, at the time it is needed and get it distributed to our staff.

The coming weeks will be incredibly challenging for our front line staff as they care for an increasing number of patients with Coronavirus and wards and departments across our hospitals. The money raised by donating to this 'thank you' appeal will help provide support to our staff at a difficult and constantly changing time.

This is an unprecedented situation and, like everyone else, our #TeamCDDFT staff are understandably worried about their own health and that of their families and friends.  Despite this, they're working hard, showing great flexibility and resourcefulness - we're enormously proud of them all.

We are also so touched to have been contacted my local businesses or individuals who would like to offer gifts, treats, items and services for the benefit of our staff. If you have anything to offer, large or small, to support us during this time we'd love to hear from you.

In light of new government guidance on non-essential travel, we would ask that you do not come to our hospitals with donations without contacting us first. If you have any non-monetary gifts you'd like to give to support us, please email us at

Thank you for your support.
