On Thursday, 28 November, County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust (CDDFT) hosted Leading a Highly Reliable Organisation: Planning, an event that brought together teams, partners, and stakeholders to share their priorities and outline high-level plans for 2025/26.

This collaborative event underscored the Trust's strong engagement and commitment to shaping a future of safe, compassionate, and integrated care.

The event’s attendance reflected the breadth of collaboration across the Trust, including representation from local authorities, universities, and other key stakeholders.

During the afternoon, colleagues presented their priorities, focusing on how CDDFT can navigate challenges such as the evolving NHS 10-Year Plan and financial constraints while continuing to deliver quality care.

Emerging themes across the plans emphasised people, quality, and experience, showcasing a shared dedication to supporting each other, providing quality patient care, and strengthening communities. These themes serve as a guiding light for the organisation's mission and values.

As these plans evolve, further development will take place in alignment with the forthcoming national planning guidance expected in December.

CDDFT extends its gratitude to all who contributed to the event, demonstrating once again the passion and purpose driving the Trust’s work forward.

Together, these efforts ensure a continued focus on innovation, excellence, and community impact.
