Congratulations to Elaine Newman, Rota Coordinator for Medicine, who retired on Thursday, 31 October, after more than 20 years of outstanding service with County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust (CDDFT).
Elaine’s career has been marked by dedication, expertise, and a commitment to supporting the next generation of medical professionals.
Before joining CDDFT, Elaine worked for Hewitt’s Solicitors in Bishop Auckland, but it was within the NHS that she found her calling.
Over the years, Elaine has supported countless junior doctors, guiding them as they started their careers and watching many progress to become respected consultants and GPs.
Elaine’s extensive knowledge and skills have been invaluable in coordinating rotas, and her commitment to her role has made her an irreplaceable part of the team.
She will be greatly missed by her colleagues in Medicine and formerly IMS, who expressed their best wishes as she embarks on her well-deserved retirement.
Elaine now looks forward to touring the world and enjoying extended holidays abroad. We wish her all the best in this exciting new chapter.
Thank you, Elaine, for your dedication and years of exceptional service!
