Last week, we proudly celebrated National Apprenticeship Week with a range of events across the Trust and online.
The apprenticeship team hosted drop-in information sessions, visited schools, and even recorded a podcast episode to highlight the benefits of apprenticeships.
A key highlight of the week was the awards ceremony held on Friday 14 February, where we recognised the hard work and dedication of staff who completed their apprenticeships in 2024.
We are delighted to share that 103 staff members successfully achieved qualifications across a variety of levels, from Level 2 to Level 7.
A huge well done to each and every one of you!
The ceremony, supported by Chairman Professor Richard Scothon, welcomed apprentices and managers to the lecture theatre at Darlington Memorial Hospital to celebrate their achievements.
As part of the awards, managers were invited to nominate apprentices for the prestigious Apprentice of the Year Award.
The Chairman was highly impressed by the quality of nominations and, as a result, chose two outstanding winners: Lynsey Turner and Kaitlyn Butterfield.
Both winners received a £50 voucher as a token of appreciation for their hard work and commitment. Congratulations to you both.
Apprenticeships continue to be a fantastic way for staff and people new to the Trust to grow and develop in their careers. If you are interested in learning more, please contact the apprenticeship team at: cddft.
