On 2 April, Cohort 8 of the Aspirant Leaders Programme celebrated the culmination of their leadership journey by presenting their improvement ideas at a special celebration event.

Hosted by the Training and Development Team, the event featured 15 engaging presentations delivered to a panel comprising Kathryn Burn Executive Director of Nursing, Louise Nelson Associate Director of Therpaies, Craig Holden Associate Director of Service Transformation, and Wayne Hall Training & Development Business Partner.

Over the course of the programme, participants have built their confidence, broadened their understanding of leadership and management, and developed innovative proposals designed to create positive change across the Trust.

Ideas presented on the day spanned a wide range of focus areas - from promoting sustainability and enhancing patient care, to supporting staff wellbeing and improving service delivery.

The panel were impressed by the creativity, insight, and dedication shown by each of the aspiring leaders.

As this cohort completes their programme, we recognise and celebrate the achievements of these future leaders, whose contributions will continue to benefit services and teams across CDDFT.

Courses like this demonstrate the value of investing in leadership development and reflect the Trust’s ongoing commitment to nurturing talent and supporting continuous improvement.
