From Monday, 20 January, a new project has started at Bishop Auckland Hospital to install electric vehicle (EV) charging points in the Escomb Road car park.

The initiative, aimed at supporting sustainable transportation, is expected to take approximately three weeks to complete.

While every effort will be made to minimise disruption, some car parking spaces will be closed for the duration of the project.

Clear signage will be in place to guide users of the car park.

Additionally, a temporary diversion will be implemented for ambulance and patient access during part of the works.

The diversion route for ambulance access is indicated below, and pedestrian access routes will also be clearly marked.

This development reflects the Trust's commitment to providing environmentally friendly facilities and improving infrastructure for hospital visitors and staff.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation during this time.
