What is waterlight bathing?
Waterlight bathing involves using specially designed Carell Bed Bath wipes to maintain personal hygiene without relying on showers or hand wash basins. These wipes help reduce the risk of spreading resistant germs like CPE (Carbapenemase-producing Enterobacterales).
How does it work?
- Carell Bed Bath Wipes: These thick, soft wipes provide a full-body cleanse, leaving patients feeling fresh and comfortable. Each pack includes eight wipes, enough for a complete bed bath. The wipes can be warmed for added comfort and contain Aloe Vera and Vitamin E to moisturize the skin.
- Continence Care: Contiplan 3-in-1 cloths are used for incontinence care, effectively cleansing, moisturizing, and protecting sensitive skin.
- Hair Washing: Rinse-free shampoo caps make it quick and easy to clean and moisturize hair without needing water.
- Hand Hygiene: Antimicrobial hand wipes are available for effective hand cleaning, killing 99.99% of pathogens within 10 seconds.
Why this change?
This proactive approach minimises infection risks, particularly for vulnerable patients, while ensuring excellent hygiene standards are maintained.
