The latest data from Public Health England (2024) reveals that there were 6,008 new HIV diagnoses in England in 2023 - an increase of 51% from 2022 and 56% from 2019.

It is estimated that 107,000 people in the UK are living with HIV, with 102,168 of them receiving HIV care.

Early diagnosis of HIV infection is crucial, as it enables better treatment outcomes and significantly reduces the risk of transmitting the infection to others.

With effective treatment, people living with HIV can lead long and healthy lives.
