Our Trust Chairman, Professor Richard Scothon, extended a warm welcome to Father Justin Mihoc upon his recent appointment as a permanent chaplain during a visit to the chaplaincy team at University Hospital of North Durham (UHND).
Fr. Justin, originally from Romania, moved to Durham 15 years ago and has since been an integral part of the local faith community.
He currently serves as the priest of the Durham Christian Orthodox Parish of St. Cuthbert and St. Bede.
Having joined the Trust as a Bank Chaplain in 2023, he has now taken on a permanent role within the chaplaincy team.
In his new position, Fr. Justin will primarily be based at UHND, where he will provide spiritual and religious support to patients, staff, and visitors of all faiths and beliefs.
His experience and dedication to pastoral care will be invaluable in ensuring that those in need of comfort and guidance receive compassionate support during their time in hospital.
The Trust is delighted to welcome Fr. Justin to the team and looks forward to the positive impact he will bring to our hospital community.
