Keeping patients safe
Our commitment to quality and safety
Our purpose is to provide the highest quality safe, compassionate and joined-up care for all our patients and local communities.
Our commitment to quality means we work to ensure that all patients receive the best possible care, tailored to their individual needs. We adhere to national and international standards and regularly review and evaluate our practices and processes as part of a learning culture.
Quality improvement
We are continuously encouraging our colleagues, patients and partners to share feedback on positive experiences and those where things could have been differently or been improved. We have a number of quality improvement programmes running at any one time and many of these include embracing innovative ways of working or new technologies as we strive to enhance the quality and safety of our care.
In addition to feedback, we also have a robust programme of clinical audits which review clinical practices to ensure compliance with best practice guidelines.
We are proud of our achievements in quality and safety, which include accreditations and awards for many of our teams and services, as well as individual colleagues. Recognition from national and international bodies for our commitment to quality and safety.
We score well against the national average in patient satisfaction surveys as well as national performance targets and standards. High satisfaction ratings from our patients, reflecting the exceptional care we provide.
