Statutory & mandatory information

The information below is needed regarding your eLearning, including other useful documents.

Foundation eLearning

The LET is committed to a streamlined approach to eLearning for all Doctors in training. It has been agreed across all trusts within the Northeast and North Cumbria to share data on completed training via an IAT. However, for the learning to transfer the modules must be an exact match. An IAT will be generated as part of the recruitment process. If you have previously completed the required learning and it has not transferred via the IAT.  To reduce duplication, the LET will accept evidence of completion in the form certificates or screen shots showing module, level, and date of completion.

If you have any evidence, please email it to: nhc-tr.letelearning@nhs.net and any compatible learning will be updated on your LET ESR account.

The list of eLearning modules required for the LET aligned statutory and mandatory subjects in the Core Skills Training Framework are:

  • Conflict resolution
  • Equality, diversity, and human rights
  • Fire safety
  • Health, safety, and welfare
  • Infection prevention and control
  • Information governance and data security
  • Moving and handling
  • Preventing Radicalisation
  • Resuscitation
  • Safeguarding adults
  • Safeguarding children
  • Display Screen Equipment
  • Doctors in Training Induction

If you have previous knowledge of the eLearning modules, you can complete the e-assessments at the end of each module to save time.

Agreed exemptions

  • Dental - HEE scenarios and Resuscitation New-born and Paediatric
  • Public Health - HEE scenario and Resuscitation New-born and Paediatric
  • Psychiatry - HEE scenarios and Resuscitation New-born and Paediatric

Each NHS Trust has an ESR system - your username for the LET will begin 441, here you will have access to employment details, payslips, and eLearning. Your ESR for CDDFT will begin xxx for host trust specific learning. Please note that any modules completed on the eLFH platform will not automatically transfer to your ESR accounts. However, the LET are happy to manually add with evidence showing module and date of completion.

How do I reset my Password?

You can reset your password here. If you cannot access this account, please contact us and send us your NI and DOB and we will unlock your account.

For proof of eLearning completion, please login to your ESR. Here you can print or save proof of the completed learning from your Talent Profile. Instructions on how to do this can be found here.
