Staff health and wellbeing matters

Our people are our greatest asset and we’re incredibly proud of them. Recognising the physical and emotional demands on colleagues and doing all we can to support good physical and mental health continues to be a priority.

We continue a wide-ranging communications and engagement programme focussed on the wellbeing of our people.

We have invested in resources including up-to-date broad health and wellbeing signposting information and resources on the staff intranet and public website, focusing on issues that matter to our staff, including diet, exercise, getting better sleep, financial wellbeing and other mental and physical health issues.

In addition to our comprehensive suite of staff health and wellbeing resources, we also have 96 health and wellbeing champions and have taken part in the Better Health at Work Awards since 2010 to demonstrate how our organisation promotes a healthy workplace.  Our equality staff network groups also continue to grow and provide health and wellbeing support as well as contributing to policy reviews and implementation.
