Providing guidance, support and motivation

We work with NHS England, and The Specialty Schools, to provide training for Specialty Trainees across all departments within its Clinical Care Groups:

  • Integrated Medical Specialties
  • Surgery
  • Family Health
  • Clinical Specialist Services
  • Community

The Specialty Training provision is co-ordinated by Care Group Tutors, who work with College Tutors and Specialty Leads to ensure the quality of education and training within the various specialties. All trainees in Specialty Training Posts, including GP Registrars, are employed by the Lead Employer Trust, and are part of NHS England.

Our Specialty Training Medical Education Team can be contacted on: cdda-tr.MedEdpostgradtraining@nhs.net and we are based across our three main sites.

Our aim is to support your goals towards achieving training excellence, because excellent healthcare is based on excellent clinicians. We wish to encourage you to pursue your development needs and take up the opportunities that are being created to fulfil your training requirements.

The team will be delighted to provide all the necessary information, guidance, support and motivation for the development and success of Doctors in training in their career paths. Meanwhile, if you have any comments or suggestions as to how we can meet your needs further, please do not hesitate to contact us.
