Award for 'outstanding' apprentice

Callum Young

Congratulations to Callum Young, a Multi Craft Electrical Apprentice based at Darlington Memorial Hospital (DMH), who has been named, 'J R Fletcher - 1st Year Apprentice of the Year', at the Annual Northern & Yorkshire NHS Assessment Centre Apprentice Awards, for his outstanding achievement in the past year of his training.

Wayne Carr, associate director of estates, says, "Callum has excelled at his studies as well as his onsite training at DMH. The Estates team is extremely proud of Callum and his achievements and look forward to him completing his training with the Trust over the coming years. Congratulations Callum, well done and well deserved."

'In recent times, I have utilised admissions to Richardson for respite direct from my fracture clinic, even at weekends. I have never worked anywhere with this efficiency before - it is reassuring and invaluable for the patient.'
