We were absolutely delighted to welcome members of the English Youth Ballet to Darlington Memorial Hospital where they delivered a mini workshop of showing their barre skills and a small taster of their upcoming Coppelia performance at Darlington Hippodrome on 13/14 April.

Company Manager, Julianne Rice -Oxley, former Company Ballerina & now Ballet Mistress led the young performers in a warm up and shared with the audience of children and staff the background to the love story that is Coppelia.
Ward Sister Jayne Auld said, 'It was a lovely and touching performance and we are grateful to Julianne and members of the cast taking the time to come and share their skills and love of ballet with us.'
CDDFT Charity Manager, Pat Chambers added, 'This was a great opportunity for everyone to learn more about the hours of dedication that the members of the Youth Ballet put into each and every performance. We're also grateful to the English Youth Ballet that for the performance on Friday 13th April, we will be the nominated charity. It's a great opportunity to raise funds that will help with the purchase of medical equipment and toys for our children's wards.'
