Bright Ideas in Health Award winners

Congratulations to the Health Call Undernutrition team who won the prestigious service improvement award at NHS innovations North this week. There were 8 finalists from the region and the team came first.

The Health Call Undernutrition service, developed jointly by nutrition & dietetics (Focus on Undernutrition team) and inHealthcare, is a pilot using  innovative technology monitoring individuals who are at risk of undernutrition and prescribed oral nutritional supplements (ONS), enabling the patient or carer to be actively involved in monitoring their own nutritional health.

For further information on the project, please contact: Catherine McShane at catherinemcshane@nhs.net

The team: Catherine McShane (specialist dietitian), Rachael Masters (highly specialist dietitian), Ian Dove (service transformation facilitator), Jeannie Hardy (programme manager telehealth) and Richard Quine (inHealthcare technology).

'I cannot commend the clinic enough. It is marvellous we have this service at all and well done to you all.'
