Cancer Awareness Course

County Durham and Darlington Foundation Trust's, Cancer Information and Support Service, is running an accredited Open College Network (OCN) Level 2 Course on Cancer Awareness for anyone who would like to learn more about cancer.

The OCN Level 2 Cancer Awareness course is a local award which carries three credits. It covers a number of different topics including truths and myths surrounding cancer, signs and symptoms, risk factors, NHS screening programmes and local services that provide support to cancer patients, families and friends.

The course runs over four half days, there are no exams involved but participants are expected to put together a portfolio of activity sheets for assessment.

The next course will be running in October, and is being delivered on the following days:

Wednesdays - 5, 12, 19 and 26 October 

Willington Health Centre, Willington, DH15 0EQ 

1pm - 5pm
