Celebrating National Careers Week 2024

careers week

There are more than 350 careers across the NHS that enable you to make a real difference in people's lives every single day.

This week is National Careers week and we are hugely grateful to all of the wonderful #TeamCDDFT colleagues who have supported career events over the last 12 months.

Over the last 12 months, we have engaged with approximately 8,284 students in primary and secondary schools, colleges and universities. These activities have included:

  • attending invited career fairs
  • held our own NHS industry fairs in schools
  • held Trust Showcases
  • attended assemblies
  • delivered classroom talks and presentations
  • supported mock interviews with students for job interviews and university applications
  • school visits to hospital sites

We have also engaged with more than 4,300 individuals as part of job fairs and workshops within job centres, offering advice and guidance on how to apply for jobs through NHS Jobs platform and talking about live vacancies to encourage people to join #TeamCDDFT.

With the help from our #TeamCDDFT colleagues we have inspired individuals to think about their future career options and supported some to apply for roles within the Trust.

During this week the National Careers Week team have a virtual careers fair taking place which is open to everybody and the NHS is one of the sponsors of the event. For further information visit:
