Chairman visits in April

Chairman, Professor Richard Scothon, recently visited the Payroll and Pension and Occupational Health teams at Bishop Auckland Hospital.

Richard was keen to hear details of the work these valuable corporate teams do to support our colleagues here at #TeamCDDFT.

Did you know, for example, the payroll team processes 144,000 payslips every year? And that's not to mention all the individual requests for support they receive and manage, many with an extremely quick turnaround to ensure colleagues are paid accurately and promptly.

Richard was particularly impressed by the length of service of some of the team - 24 years being the longest - and also the team's use of the apprenticeship scheme that has been successfully utilised resulting in staff appointed into permanent roles and becoming valued members of a great team.

The Chairman then visited the Occupational Health Department speaking to some of the team praising them on the excellent work they do supporting existing staff and prospective staff who are coming to work at CDDFT.

Thank you to both teams for all that you do!

'I cannot commend the clinic enough. It is marvellous we have this service at all and well done to you all.'
