Congratulations Mel!

Mel

The practice education and acute frailty teams would like to congratulate Melanie Doolan on the completion of her Nursing Associate conversion apprenticeship.

Mel has been an Assistant Practitioner since 2016 after completing her foundation degree in health with Teesside University.

Mel has undergone a year's apprenticeship with Teesside University which has allowed her to register as a Nursing Associate with the Nursing Midwifery Council.

Mel undertook the apprenticeship to keep up to date with practice and extend knowledge and skills.

Mel would recommend anyone looking to access the conversion or full nursing associate apprenticeship to do so to keep up to date and have professional accountability and opens door to other opportunity's

Well done Mel on your achievement and good luck with your new role and registration.

'I have to compliment everyone on their pleasant persona and their expertise and knowledge. By the end of the 5 days, I did not feel as though I had been in a hospital ward and was very relaxed.'
