Healthworks Youth Forum

Healthworks, the healthy living centre in Easington, is raising awareness of its Youth Forum and services that are available to young people.
The youth forum takes place every Tuesday from 4.30pm - 6.30pm and caters for young people aged 8-16. Young people can participate in physical, healthy eating, team building, drama, musical and creative activities. They can learn new skills and gain qualifications such as first aid. Young people identify the activities in which they want to take part. They are also used as a sounding board to ensure that the services we offer meet their needs.

David Rollins, administration assistant with County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust health improvement services at Healthworks said: ''The youth forum is a great place for young people to come, there are loads of activities on offer and you can make new friends. We listen to your ideas on the things that you want to see and best of all it is completely free. Activities that we have planned for the next few months include visiting Sunderland Marine activity centre, Durham gala theatre, and attending a Newcastle Eagles basket ball game".

Healthworks, the healthy living centre works in partnership with NHS County Durham and Darlington, County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust, Northumbrian Water and Durham County Council.

Healthworks is located in Easington, County Durham and provides a wide range of health information, activities and support to those living in Easington, and the surrounding area.
