Hospital Trust’s Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Meeting of County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust will take place on Wednesday 11 September, at University Hospital of North Durham.

Trust Chairman, Professor Paul Keane, OBE, said, "Anyone wishing to come along will be welcome, it's an opportunity to hear from our Trust Board as we look back on our performance in 2018/19 - there will also be an open question and answer session.

"We're one of the largest integrated care providers in England, serving a population of around 650,000 and employing over 7,000 people. In addition to Durham, our hospitals include Darlington Memorial and Bishop Auckland Hospitals plus community hospitals in Shotley Bridge, Chester le Street, Weardale, Sedgefield and The Richardson Hospital, Barnard Castle.

"Prior to the Annual General Meeting, there will be a chance to meet members of some of our teams at a marketplace event, to find out about the work they do to support patient care, including nutrition & dietetics, research & innovation, community service and patient experience teams.  You can also find out about how we're ahead of the game in many aspects of healthcare, such as our work with care homes across County Durham and Darlington using digital technology to monitor residents and avoid hospital admissions."

The marketplace event will be in main outpatients, on the first floor of University Hospital of North Durham between 4.00 - 5.15pm.  The AGM will be held in Saffreys restaurant on the second floor of the hospital between 5.30 - 7.30pm.

To register to attend you can email: cdda-tr.foundation@nhs.net, phone: 01325 743625 or visit the Trust's website:  www.cddft.nhs.uk and use the Eventbrite details.

'I feel it is important to relay my experience back to let the staff know they are doing a brilliant job! I would like them to know I appreciated all they did for myself, my family and our beautiful baby girl.'
