Local surgeons host charity ball

Surgeons from County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust are hosting a charity ball in September to raise money for the Help the Heroes fund.

The event will take place at the Hall Garth Hotel, Coatham Mundervill near Darlington on Friday 30 September.  The theme for the night is 'red carpet glamour'.

Many of the Trust's surgeons are also members of the Territorial Army and have seen active service and the devastating effects that injury can have.  Proceeds from the ball will go to the Help the Heroes charity and will support the development of a rehabilitation centre at Catterick.

Tickets for the ball cost £30.00 which includes a three course meal, live auction, raffle and dancing.  The tickets are available from Hall Garth Hotel or from medical secretary, Bal Hubery, at Darlington Memorial Hospital on 01325 74 3948.

'In recent times, I have utilised admissions to Richardson for respite direct from my fracture clinic, even at weekends. I have never worked anywhere with this efficiency before - it is reassuring and invaluable for the patient.'
