Tickets are now on sale for the Mayor's Annual Charity Civic Dinner to be held at the Hallgarth Hotel, Coatham Mundeville Darlington on Friday 2nd March 2018.

The event starts at 7pm with music for the evening provided by 'John Melvin'. Plus we'll have a raffle and tombola with proceeds to be donated to the Mayor's chosen charity which is the MRI Scanner Appeal for Darlington Memorial Hospital and Bishop Auckland Hospital.

Dr Elizabeth Loney, Care Group Director for Clinical Specialist Services, at County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust, said, "MRI scans are particularly good at looking at soft tissues and tremendous advances in technology over recent years mean they can be enormously helpful in diagnosing cancer, heart conditions, strokes and many other health issues.  Scans can also give doctors information that previously required the patient to undergo surgery or another invasive procedure as part of the investigation of their symptoms.  Crucially, MRI scanners don't use radiation, unlike x-rays.

"We're very grateful to the Mayor for choosing our appeal as his charity."

Tickets are £30.00 each and include a 3 course dinner with wine, for details on how to reserve your place for this popular event please telephone 01325 300700 or

'I feel it is important to relay my experience back to let the staff know they are doing a brilliant job! I would like them to know I appreciated all they did for myself, my family and our beautiful baby girl.'
