Hayley Robertson, corporate affairs manager, said, "This is a real opportunity to have a say in the way health services across County Durham and Darlington will be delivered in the coming years.  We're looking for Governors to represent Darlington, Derwentside, Durham City, Sedgefield, and Wear Valley and Teesdale. You must live in the area you represent, be a Trust Member and over 16."

Governors have an important role in making an NHS foundation trust publicly accountable for the services it provides. They bring valuable perspectives and contributions and represent the voice of their local communities. Governors hold non-executive directors to account for the performance of the Board and represent the interests of NHS foundation trust members and the public in the planning of future services and strategy.

Further information and nomination papers can be found at Nominations need to be submitted by Monday 7 November 2016.
