School children bring Christmas cheer to patients on Franziska Willer ward at Sedgefield Community Hospital

children.jpg

There was an event at Franziska Willer ward at Sedgefield Community Hospital, whereby children from the Sedgefield Primary School choir accompanied by teacher, Mrs Cox, entertained some of the patients with their enthusiastic rendition of classic and modern Christmas songs.

The patient's fully enjoyed it with one saying it "reminded her of when she used to watch her own children in concerts at school".

Refreshments were served to the patients and children along with sweet treats.

It was lovely to rebuild links with the community following a very difficult few years.

'Every aspect of my emergency care was dealt with quickly, efficiently and professionally with full explanations and compassion from all staff involved'.
