The regional Skills Development Network Conference was held on Thursday 9 May in Leeds. Our Procurement team have been recognised for their amazing work by winning and being shortlisted for awards.

WINNER - Collaboration Award: Matthew Leeson, (South Tees) and Jena Robson, Procurement Manager (CDDFT) for their work on the Collaborative Pathology Managed Service project, which aims to establish and deliver the best value for patients and stakeholders when implementing a new pathology managed service contract.

WINNER - Sustainable Procurement: Darly Joseph and Sam Goss for their work with Sharpsmart to introduce reusable sharps containers and reducing our waste.

SHORTLISTED - Future Leader: Gemma Harland, Procurement Officer. This award aims to recognise junior NHS procurement professionals who demonstrate excellence in their work and show potential to advance further in their career but may not have risen to a leadership position.

Well done to the team for these great achievements!

'Care received was fantastic and I was very well looked after and very impressed.'
