T-Level success in pathology

t-level.jpg

A successful Science T-Level pilot has just finished its first two weeks in the pathology department at County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust.

A T-Level is a new qualification, equivalent to A-Level, for 16-19 year olds, where they gain work experience whilst studying.

With high praise from students and staff as David Hudson Biomedical Scientist said: "Both students were very keen to learn and didn't mind getting hands on in biochemistry by helping with the analyser maintenance and other daily tasks."

The students have loved their placement with biochemistry being a firm favourite of theirs, adding that all the staff were friendly and supportive, making it a great working environment.

Thank you to all the team for organising such a wonderful placement for our T-Level students.

'As I was very, very nervous, I must have been the worst patient ever and they were brilliant with me and I can't thank them enough - could you please pass on my sincere thanks.'
