Vacancy - Non-Executive Director

Help to influence, shape and drive the future of healthcare within your community

£15,000 per annum plus an additional responsibility allowance of £3,460 for Committee roles - approximately 4 to 5 days per month minimum

County Durham and Darlington Foundation Trust serves 600,000 people living in County Durham and the surrounding areas.  The Trust provides a comprehensive range of acute and community based services across two acute hospitals, community hospitals and 80 community bases.  Already a high performing Trust, we are investing in improvements in facilities and service developments, along integrated pathways focusing on patients' outcomes and experiences. We are looking to strengthen our non-executive team with the appointment of an exceptional candidate.

If you have substantial senior management or board level experience, gained within a large and complex organisation, we can offer an excellent opportunity to use your talents to make a positive difference to the lives of people in your community.  You will need to have the credibility to constructively challenge senior managers and be able work collaboratively within and beyond the Trust to help develop and deliver our strategic plans.  We are looking for applications from CCAB qualified accountants, but with a broader portfolio of experience in which experience and skills in any of: strategic programmes, IT and digital business, business development, quality management or change management would be welcomed. We are currently under represented by females and people from ethnic minority backgrounds and would welcome applications from these groups.
