Worlds Biggest Coffee Morning 28th September

The Macmillan world's biggest coffee morning is now an annual event and staff will be celebrating, having fun, meeting friends old and new to join in this national event to raise money to support people living with cancer.

The event at the Macmillan Cancer Information and Support Centre will include: Coffee and biscuits, tombola, prizes, handcrafted cards and staff and volunteers in fancy dress. The mayor of Peterlee will be attending and our local MP may attend.  There will be an opportunity for local people to look around the centre and to find out what else is on offer. The event at the Pioneering Care Centre will be offering tea and coffee, tombola and displays. There will also be an opportunity to see what the Macmillan Cancer Information and Support Service can offer to the people of the Sedgefield Borough

The Macmillan world's biggest coffee morning is now an annual event and staff will be celebrating, having fun, and meeting friends old and new to join in this national event to raise money to support people living with cancer.

Elizabeth Cook,Health Improvement Practitioner   said:  "This event aims to raise the profile of the Macmillan Cancer Information and Support Services in Peterlee and  Newton Aycliffe whilst  raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

"The information and support centre is available for anyone who has been affected by cancer, patients, relatives, friends, offering a wide range of information on all aspects of cancer from prevention to care."

Every penny raised at the coffee mornings will help fund more services for people affected by cancer. Your involvement - no matter how small - means there will be enough practical, medical, financial and emotional support to help to change the lives of everyone affected by cancer for the better.
