I graduated from Aberdeen University and worked initially in Scotland, then moved to the north-east of England to start paediatric training. I worked in Bishop Auckland and Newcastle hospitals, and after gaining membership, carried out six months of cystic fibrosis work. After this, I started registrar training and worked in Stockton, Newcastle, Middlesbrough and Durham.
I have been a consultant in Durham since March 2013 and work some resident on-call shifts, as well as more traditional consultant on-calls. I have out-patient clinics in Shotley Bridge Community Hospital and at the University Hospital of North Durham.
I am involved in setting up neonatal SIM training in the Trust and am the lead consultant for Durham CAMHS liaison.
'I would like to thank all the staff for my treatment and their professionalism.'
