I have a broad clinical experience obtained from wide ranging paediatric training rotations in PICU, haematology, oncology, neurology, neurodisability, tertiary neonatology and community paediatrics, apart from general paediatrics.
My current practice includes a balance of full time hospital (acute) paediatric work and general paediatric clinics at UHND. I see a wide range of general paediatric and neurological problems including fits, faints and funny turns, abnormal gait, epilepsy and headaches in the hospital setting.
I undertake neurodevelopmental clinics as part of community paediatric team at Chester-le-Street Community Hospital. The clinic includes a wide range of disorders including complex health needs, syndromes, cerebral palsy, neuro-disability and developmental assessments. I have an interest in epilepsy manifesting acutely or as part of complex conditions. I am currently pursuing a masters qualification in paediatric neurodisability.
I have remained active in management duties, taking on additional roles as postgraduate tutor for RCPCH to oversee the paediatric training provided by CDDFT to foundation doctors, GP trainees and paediatric postgraduate trainees.
