I was born and bred in South Africa where I completed my undergraduate medical training at the University of Cape Town. I have resided in the UK since 1997.
I undertook my basic surgical training in Yorkshire graduated from the University of Teesside with an MSc and was appointed a registrar in orthopaedics in the Northern deanery.
After completion of my higher surgical training I spent a fellowship year at the prestigious Wrightington Upper Limb Unit including 6 months as a Royal College of Surgeons' fellow. This has stood me in good stead to pursue my specialist interest as a consultant.
I form part of the team that looks to provide an efficient and comprehensive trust wide service covering all aspects of elective and trauma upper limb pathology.
