After medical training and junior appointments in and around Leeds, I joined the Yorkshire Deanery Orthopaedics and Trauma SpR training programme. As senior SpR, my training was directed towards Upper Limb and Hand Surgery. My final year as SpR was spent at Wrightington Hospital in Lancashire, a Centre of Excellence for Upper Limb Surgery. This unit headed by Prof JK Stanley is a tertiary referral centre for upper limb and hand elective and trauma cases. I was appointed to CDDFT in February 2007. I am keen to continue the evolution of a dedicated Upper Limb Service within the Trust and welcome Upper Limb referrals from within and outside the Trust and its catchment.
