I trained at St George's Hospital Medical in London, qualifying in 1995. My basic sugical training was in Stoke-on-Trent. I did research in Hull with Professor Duthie into anorectal disorders and hyprebaric oxygen. My higher general surgical training was in the Northern Deanery, specialising in colorectal surgery. I was appointed as a consultant in Durham in 2008, and have subspecialist interests into faecal incontinence, constipation and rectal prolapse for which I offer a tertiary referral service.
'I would like to thank all the staff for my treatment and their professionalism.'
