I completed a degree in basic sciences followed by medicine at Sheffield University. I returned to the north east to finish my orthopaedic training before taking up my post at Durham in 1998. My area of special interest is lower limb arthroplasty surgery, both primary and revision surgery. My area of interest within this field is surgery for rheumatoid disease, particularly total knee arthroplasty. I do however maintain my general interest in elective orthopaedics and traumatology within the department.
'The treatment I have received from all the staff has been excellent and could you extend my thanks to them all. A very thankful and relieved patient'.
