Trained at Charing Cross and associated hospitals qualifying in 1981 and obtaining FRCS in 1985. Then spent 11 years in the army and was appointed as a consultant surgeon in 1992.
Took up appointment at Darlington Memorial Hospital as a general / vascular surgeon in August 1997.
