I obtained my MBBS degree from Madras University 1985 and then
underwent my higher surgical ophthalmology training(MS;DO) from
Jipmer in 1990(www.jipmer.edu) one of the premier medical
institutes of India. During this time I completed my thesis on
'PXF and Autoimmunity in Glaucoma'.
I came to UK and undertook further training as well as
completing the necessary Felowship examinations (FRCS).
In 1999 I undertook a Mersey Deanery approved 'Oculoplastic
surgical subspeciality Fellowship'.
I worked as locum consultant at Sandwell and Birmingham
hospitals till I joined this Trust in 2003.
I enjoy my work immensely and my research area is related to
watery eyes/Thyroid Eye disease/Periocular skin cancer as
I tend to keep fit and take part in gym activites as well as
various other sports including golf.
'Care received was fantastic and I was very well looked after
