Consultant Ophthalmologist

I obtained my MBBS degree from Madras University 1985 and then underwent my higher surgical ophthalmology training(MS;DO) from Jipmer in 1990(www.jipmer.edu) one of the premier medical institutes of India. During this time I completed my thesis on 'PXF and Autoimmunity in Glaucoma'.

I came to UK and undertook further training as well as completing the necessary Felowship examinations (FRCS).

In 1999 I undertook a Mersey Deanery approved 'Oculoplastic surgical subspeciality Fellowship'.

I worked as locum consultant at Sandwell and Birmingham hospitals till I joined this Trust in 2003.

I enjoy my work immensely and my research area is related to watery eyes/Thyroid Eye disease/Periocular skin cancer as Glaucoma.

I tend to keep fit and take part in gym activites as well as various other sports including golf.
