After house officer jobs in South Wales I moved to Merseyside to complete my basic Surgical training and also spent a year working in Australia. I then obtained a place on the Orthopaedic Training Rotation in Newcastle before undertaking a 12 month fellowship in complex lower limb arthroplasty in Vancouver in 2004 and also a short trauma fellowship in 2005 in Denver.
Since returning to the UK I spent 18 months working as a Locum Consultant in Carlisle before taking up this post in February 2007 initially based at Darlington Memorial but moved to UHND following reorganisation of services in May 2010.
Since joining the Trust I have been developing my interest in revision hip and knee arthroplasty as well as continuing to undertake primary joints knee arthroscopy and musculoskeletal trauma.
'I cannot commend the clinic enough. It is marvellous we have this service at all and well done to you all.'
