I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at County Durham and Darlington NHS Trust. My clinical practice includes, management of lower limb disorders; including hip and knee replacements, knee meniscal injuries and general trauma.
I did my higher surgical orthopaedic training from North East England. I then underwent further fellowship training in hip and knee replacements from the University of Toronto, the centre for hip surgery, Wrightington and then the Golden Jubilee Hospital, Glasgow.
I was awarded the British Orthopaedic Association travelling fellowship to Endo-Klinik, Hamburg and University Hospital, Copenhagen, where I received training in hip / knee replacements and rapid recovery programme.
'As I was very, very nervous, I must have been the worst patient ever and they were brilliant with me and I can't thank them enough - could you please pass on my sincere thanks.'
