Our services
County Durham & Darlington NHS Foundation Trust offer a range of services to patients locally, on both an in-patient and out-patient basis.We investigate patients for possible cardiac conditions and monitor patients with ongoing cardiac conditions
We provide a comprehensive range of diagnositic services including Electocardiography (ECG), Exercise Testing, Echocardiology, Tilt table testing and 24 hour ECG monitoring
We also host pacemaker and defibrillator follow up clinics.
Our two main sites are Darlington Memorial Hospital and The University Hospital of North Durham.
Some services are also provided at Bishop Auckland Hospital and Shotley Bridge Community Hospital.

Our Team
We have a large team of experienced cardiographers, cardiac physiologists and cardiac clinical scientists who are supported by an administration team. All senior clinical staff are registered with either The Registration Council for Clinical Physiology or The Health and Care Professions Council.
Accreditation
All staff who report on echocardiograms hold accreditation with The British Society of Echocardiography or are certified by the The European Association of Cariovascular Imaging.
Staff who look after patients with pacemakers or implantable defibrillators hold British Heart Rhythm Society accreditation.
