Our new digital self-referral removes any awkwardness enabling patients to self-refer directly to the service without discussing with GP or other health care professional. Who we are:
The Adult Bladder & Bowel Service is a County wide service available to adults living within the County Durham and Darlington area; based at Bishop Auckland. Clinics are held in various locations across the County.
What we do:
We offer a discreet and confidential service to both men and women. Patients are initially assessed over the phone and triaged, then usually seen in a clinic environment; however, a home visit can be arranged if appropriate. Initial appointments take approximately 30 minutes, this includes a review of:
Following initial assessment, treatment options will be discussed with the patient and a plan of care agreed.
We work alongside our medical and surgical colleagues to ensure all our patients receive a high standard of continence care which is based on up to date knowledge and skills.
