What we do

Our team consists of qualified dietitians and dietetic assistants along with our administration support team. All of our dietitians are registered with the national regulatory body, The Health Professions Council.

The nutrition and dietetics department offers patient assessment, diagnosis, care planning, treatment and health education services to persons who present with conditions such as

  • Weight problems (either underweight or overweight)
  • Diabetes
  • Heart disease
  • Food allergy and intolerance
  • Coeliac disease
  • Swallowing problems
  • Crohn's Disease
  • Cancers

Diet also plays an important part in preventing many common illnesses such as constipation, anaemia and many cancers.

Further information can be obtained from:

The website of the British Dietetic Association
