We act within in the role of governance which includes:
We closely observe any incidents that occur within the maternity
service and we use an open and honest method to highlighting and
sharing evidence of best practice. We work closely with women
who want to access care out of our Trust guidelines and also work
closely in conjunction with internal and external safety forums
including the Trust Patient Safety department, Healthcare Safety
Investigation Branch HSIB, The
Confidential Enquiry into Maternal Deaths MBRACE, and Each
Baby Counts EBC.
