Ear, nose and throat (ENT)

The ENT department provides diagnosis and treatment for adult and paediatric patients with ear, nose, and throat conditions across the Durham and Darlington region.

We work across six sites across the region, offering care closer to home.  Outpatient services are provided at Darlington Memorial Hospital, Bishop Auckland Hospital, University Hospital of North Durham, Shotley Bridge Community Hospital, Sedgefield Community Hospital and Chester-le-Street Hospital

We also work alongside the Audiology department which provides services at all these sites.

Inpatient care for both emergency patients and those on the waiting list is provided at Darlington Memorial Hospital, and Day Surgery for both adult and children is also provided at University Hospital of North Durham.

'The treatment I have received from all the staff has been excellent and could you extend my thanks to them all. A very thankful and relieved patient'.
