Refreshments for visitors

We have a number of different catering outlets in our hospital sites to provide you with refreshments, snacks or meals while you are visiting loved ones.

In Darlington, these services are provided by the Trust's subsidiary company CDD services.

There is also a WH Smith shop in Darlington Memorial Hospital on the ground floor which stocks sandwiches, salads and snacks.

At University Hospital of North Durham, there is Saffreys restaurant on the second floor of the hospital. There is also a cafe and shop in the entrance area on the ground floor of the hospital. The RVS run a small tea bar within the main outpatients department on the first floor of the hospital.

At Bishop Auckland Hospital there is Chimney's restaurant which is located on the ground floor at the main entrance to the hospital opposite the main outpatients department.

Vending machines are also available within each of our hospital sites at all times.
