The Employee Assistance Programme (Health Assured) provides valuable resources and personal advice to help you through life's tricky times, including counselling. Help is at hand all day, every day. Counsellors and professional advisers can talk you through many topics, including:

A trauma focused peer support system designed to help people who have experienced a traumatic, or potentially traumatic event. TRiM Practitioners help people understand the effects that traumatic events can have upon people and can signpost to help. Email: cddft.trim@nhs.net 

This process supports wellbeing during times of stress, by providing constructive thinking space facilitated in a supportive, non-judgemental environment which is enabled through access to a qualified coach or clinician. Email: cddft.workforceexperience@nhs.net.

We want you to be at your best and care for yourself so that you can continue to deliver safe, compassionate, joined-up care to our patients, carers and other colleagues. This wellbeing conversation tool is to support you to share how you are feeling and identify any support that you may need to continue to be at your best. You can use this as a personal reflection tool or to start a conversation with your manager or a colleague. Your manager can also use it as a way to touch base and check-in with you.

Our menopause support offering includes a dedicated menopause policy, menopause support risk assessments and staff and manager booklets. 

We have recruited health and wellbeing champions across the Trust. Their aim is to signpost other colleagues to our health and wellbeing offer and to promote health and wellbeing campaigns, activities and initiatives.

Chaplains are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for staff and patients, to offer support, to help with reflection on challenging dilemmas, or simply as someone to listen and as a shoulder to cry on. Email: cdda-tr.chaplains@nhs.net.

We can offer health and wellbeing training sessions for staff on topics including Personal resilience workshops, basic mental health awareness and mental health at work. Email: cdda-tr.coursebookings@nhs.net.

The library service is available to all staff, including those working in the community and students on placement within the Trust. The service is able to provide books, eBooks and audiobooks on a range of health and wellbeing topics. Colleagues are very welcome to visit our libraries to find out more.   • Cost of living help and support
    There are lots of sources of support for you and your family if you need help or advice about the cost of living. Find relevant information links to advice pages provided by your council by local authority area including warm spaces, food support, benefits and other financial assistance, and how to get help with housing.
     
  • Foodbanks
    Food banks are community organisations that can help if you can't afford the food you need. You'll usually need to get a referral to a food bank before you can use it. Find out more about Foodbanks
     
  • Supporting our People
    NHS England and NHS Improvement have developed a range of support which all NHS colleagues can access through one point of contact. This includes a free wellbeing support helpline, providing confidential listening from trained professionals and specialist advice, including coaching, bereavement care, mental health and financial help.
     
  • Financial support
    Many staff are increasingly concerned about how they can make their money go further. NHS England have a range of ideas to help any member of health and care staff to support their financial wellbeing. 
     
  • Apps
    NHS staff have been given free access to a number of wellbeing apps to support with their mental health and wellbeing. Find out for more information, including how to access support and when this free offer expires.
