Continued Professional Development for RGN's, AHP's, RGM's and Nursing Associates

The CPD Budget provided by HEE is for all RGN's, AHP's, RGM's and Nursing Associates. It gives them opportunity to choose courses relevant for their role to expand their knowledge and skills in aspects that are vital for the services they provide.

There are multiple avenues to choose from, all provided by Teesside University:

  • Part-Time Courses (Degree and Masters level part-time courses)
  • Personalised CPD Programme (Staff are allocated 100 points to spend on bespoke modules/masterclasses of their choosing)
  • Aspirant Leaders Programme (10 Days over a 6 month period, aimed at all established, new and aspirant leaders)

Click the related links on the right to find out more information on these opportunities, below is some feedback we've received from staff on how the CPD Funding has benefited themselves and their services:

"The CPD funding has been invaluable in providing our clinical colleagues with access to relevant continual professional development and to external courses, which we are now utilising to develop the teams and incorporating into our departmental training plans. The funding is essential in enabling our colleagues to be released and funded to attend courses which are proving invaluable to development within the department"

"My team find the CPD, HEE funding very beneficial, I have had a number of staff undertake the 1 day CPD modules, clinical skills and palliative care modules. Staff feel it is very beneficial to their continued development"

"A few staff have completed courses funded by HEE have been really beneficial and the shared learning from these courses has been good... There are the work related courses, investigations, communicating with excellence, report writing that have really helped staff in their jobs"

'In recent times, I have utilised admissions to Richardson for respite direct from my fracture clinic, even at weekends. I have never worked anywhere with this efficiency before - it is reassuring and invaluable for the patient.'
